John Maine allowed Doug Salzwedel to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
at the ballpark as the Tombstone Huckleberries came back dramatically to top
the Chicago Colts by the score of 4 to 3.
 
Tombstone erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs
on 4 hits.  Mike Napoli led off and he stroked a base-hit.  Conor Jackson
stepped into the batter's box and he laced a base-knock.  Two outs later
Placido Polanco came to the plate and ripped a base-knock resulting in a run.
Magglio Ordonez came up and he doubled making Tombstone victorious to the
delight of the the home town crowd.  Tombstone finished with 15 hits in the
victory.  
 
Maine(5-2) allowed 3 runs on the game. Todd Jones(1-2) was tagged with the
loss in relief.  Doug Salzwedel was ebullient after the game, 'It's great to
win a hard fought game like that.  Our guys just weren't going to be denied.
And did you see the fans - they were going wild! Yes sir, a very enjoyable
win this afternoon!'
